Terms of appointment

  • A competitive salary commensurate with the role will be agreed with the successful candidate.
  • Annual leave: 35 days plus 8 bank holidays and 5 extra-statutory days per annum.
  • Pensions: We offer the Teachers’ Pension Scheme. Existing current members of the Universities Superannuation Scheme can choose to continue to contribute to this scheme.
  • The Vice-Chancellor is expected to play an active and visible role across our University, community and region, including attending events outside standard working hours. We therefore expect the successful candidate to make appropriate living or accommodation arrangements, preferably within the region, to fulfil these responsibilities.
