Welcome

I am delighted that you are considering applying for the role of Chief Research Support and Compliance Officer at Imperial College London.

We are one of the world’s leading universities, founded in 1907 and long recognised for our strengths in research, education and innovation.

Throughout our history we have sought not only to be a world-leading university, but a world-changing one, with real-world impact at our core. Each day our outstanding global community of students, staff and partners come together to tackle the greatest challenges facing humanity.

Imperial has a greater proportion of world-leading research than any other UK university. The scale and complexity of our research portfolio require research support, governance and compliance arrangements of the highest standard. The Chief Research Support and Compliance Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our systems and processes enable world-class research while safeguarding the integrity and reputation of the University.

You will lead a talented and committed Research Support and Compliance Division, providing strategic and operational leadership across research governance, post-award management, funder assurance and research security. This is an important moment for the Division as we strengthen alignment across our Faculties and continue delivery of our Great Service Programme, including investment in new enterprise systems.

 Richard Martin
As a key member of our Professional Services Leadership community at Imperial, you will join an experienced and supportive peer group and work closely with colleagues across the University Executive, Faculties and research community. I wish you the very best of luck in your application.
Richard Martin
Registrar and University Secretary
